How it works

From the moment you find us to the day you complete a study, here is exactly what happens — no surprises, no pressure, nothing hidden.

  1. Nothing required from you

    You find a study

You come across Axis Clinical through an online ad, a search, or a referral from a friend or provider. There's no obligation at this stage — just information. Browse our active studies and see if any match your situation.

    • No personal information required to browse
    • All information is publicly available
    • You can call us to ask questions before doing anything
  2. About a minute, yes or no answers

    You answer a few questions

If a study looks like it might be a fit, you'll answer 4–5 simple questions online. No medical history required. No insurance info. Just basic eligibility criteria so we can see if it's worth a conversation.

    • Takes under 60 seconds
    • No commitment whatsoever
    • Your answers are private and HIPAA-protected
  3. Usually within a business day

    A coordinator calls you

A real person from our team calls you — not an automated system. They answer your questions, explain what the study involves, and help you work out whether a screening visit is worth your time. Most people hear from us within a business day; if we miss you, we keep trying.

    • No scripts, no pressure
    • You can ask anything
    • You can decide not to proceed — no explanation needed
  4. Still no commitment

A screening visit, at no cost

If you choose to move forward, you'll come in for a free medical screening. This typically takes 1–2 hours and includes basic tests to confirm eligibility. There is still no commitment at this point. You will not be enrolled without signing a consent form.

    • Medical exam, lab tests, or imaging as needed (all free)
    • Your coordinator will be with you the whole time
    • You can leave at any point
  5. Yours to decide

You enrol, or you do not

After your screening visit, if you qualify and you want to participate, you'll review and sign an informed consent document. That's the only binding step. Once enrolled, your coordinator will schedule your study visits, and your journey begins.

    • Typical study: 6–10 visits over several months
    • Visits last 1–3 hours depending on the protocol
    • You'll receive compensation after each completed visit

What a visit looks like

Most visits take between one and three hours. The general flow:

  1. Check-in & Vitals

Height, weight, blood pressure — takes about 10 minutes.

  2. Lab Draw or Assessment

Depending on the study, a blood draw or physical examination.

  3. Time with Your Coordinator

Review how you've been feeling, answer any questions, discuss your next visit.

  4. Compensation Processing

Your visit payment is processed before you leave.
